Hi! I’ve been looking into purchasing a silhouette machine for crafting but I’m stuck on which one I need? I’m looking to be able to create my own designs/stencils. Do both allow that?

Yes both the Portrait and CAMEO allow you to cut materials. The biggest difference in my opinion is that the CAMEO allows you to cut larger materials than the portrait. I had an old Cricut a long time ago and the thing I got most frustrated with was having to cut down everything I used before I put it in the machine so being able to cut 12″ wide was a must for me!
