Summer activities for toddlers

I’m so excited to be here today and I thought I’d share with you a collection of super simple summer activities for toddlers to inspire you to get outside and have fun with your kids while the sun is shining!

1. Fizzing Sidewalk Paint

This Fizzing Sidewalk Paint from the “101 Kids Activities” book looks like so much fun! I love that it’s an activity that toddlers can do with older siblings so that everyone gets to play together.

2. Montessori Outdoor Exploration

I love the summer months because its great to get outside and explore our local area. I’ve been inspired by these outdoor exploration ideas and am looking forward to discovering nature… and mud!

3. Outdoor Activity: Roll down the Hills with the Kids

If your toddler loves to rough and tumble, and you have a hill somewhere nearby you should definitely give this a try!

4. Simple Outdoor Activities

Summer activities for toddlers don’t get much easier than this…

5. Backyard Rope Course

Oh this looks like so much fun! Although right now I’m having backyard envy as we don’t have quite that much space to play in!

6. Frozen Fractals Soup Activity – Ice Play for Kids

Hot summer days are just perfect for ice play, this one needs preparing in advance but looks like so much fun. I can’t wait to try it!

7. Summer Fun: Toddler Car Wash

This activity requires no advance preparation at all, and depending on just how hot the weather is you can play outside or indoors in the cool!

8. Gross Motor Activity for Toddlers {Color Recognition}

If your little one is ready to learn their colours, and you’re looking for an activity to get them up and moving about then this is a great choice!

9. Kid Wash

Oh my goodness, this might be the summer activity for toddlers to win a prize for the most fun ever! It’s going to take some preparation (give it to Daddy as a ‘project’) but how cool would this be on a hot summer day? You might find that your toddlers are the most popular ones on the block!

10. How to Make Your Own Giant Bubbles

And let’s finish up this collection with bubbles… but not just any bubbles… GIANT BUBBLES! These look amazing!
