The Best Toys for 4 Year Old Girls
Four years old is one of my favorite years of my kids. They become a little more independent, getting ready for kindergarten, and really using their imagination when they play. My little girl lived in a world of fantasy and princesses when she was younger and I loved every minute.
Popular Dolls and Stuffed Animals
One of my favorite gifts when I was a little girl was my cabbage patch doll. I actually still have it. You can never go wrong with a doll for a little girl. The naturally mothering instinct is prevalent from the very beginning.
My little girl loves her Baby Alive Doll because she gets to feed her doll “real” baby food and change its messy diapers. She also really loves her American Girl Doll and brings it wherever she goes.
I also feel like Barbies are a great ideas for 4 year old girls as well. Barbies grow along with your child in that they seem to like them for a long time. My little girl is 9 and she still loves playing with her barbies and doll house.

Art & Craft Ideas
I love watching my kids create beautiful things. Sometimes I cringe when I think of arts & crafts but the end result is worth a little bit of mess. If you are completely against crafts that make a mess, try kinetic sand. It is virtually mess free and last for a ver long time.
My little girl loves to craft so I am always on the lookout for cool and new crafts to try. This list contains my daughters top choices for arts & crafts.

Best Educational Toys
This list is definitely on the pricier side of things. The good thing about electronic toys is they last for a long time and you usually on have to buy the big items once in their childhood. One thing I love about iPads is the majority of their games are free and my kids can practice reading, math and spelling by using educational apps.

Fun Outdoor Toys
One of our families favorite activities to do is ride bikes. Investing in quality bikes is an area I don’t mind spending money on, because they are used so frequently. And you can always sell them once they grow out of that size and use the money to buy a new one. It’s a win for all.
Another favorite outdoor toy of ours is sidewalk chalk and bubbles. No matter what age you are chalk and bubbles makes for a good time.

The Best Pretend Play Toys
Ever since my daughter was a little girl she has loved to dress up. She dances around the house in her princess dresses or her superhero cape while listening to music. It’s so fun to see her face light up as she puts on her favorite dress-up outfit.
My little girl also loves to have tea parties. I mix up a batch of lemonade and she uses teddy grahams or mini cookies. Her and her friends gather together at her table and enjoy pretending they are having afternoon tea.

Another one of our favorite building sets in our house is Magnetic Building Blocks. These are one of the most used items in our house when friends come over to play. They are safe for younger children, but fun for older children as well.
