Here’s what you’ll need:
Sourdough Loaf
1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick)
1/3 cup parmesan
1 jar Old English Spread (this is found in the cracker aisle)
6 cloves garlic, crushed
When you have your fresh sourdough loaf, cut it in half. This time it was just my hubs and I eating, so I only used half the bread, spread etc. I’ll use the other half to make croutons.
Put your English Spread, garlic and butter into a bowl and mix. I usually throw mine in the microwave for about 15 seconds so that it spreads more easily.
Here is my empty bowl. I forgot to pause and take a picture of all of it mixed together. Oopsie daisy!
Once it is mixed use a spatula to spread evenly onto both sides of bread. You can also sprinkle some parsley on top if you would like. I’ve done this before and it is equally delicious. Not the “true” recipe though.
Then, sprinkle with parmesan. You can  put as little or as much as you would like. I tend to go a little overboard because I like having cheese love affairs. It’s a wonder I’m not 500 pounds.
Put it in the preheated, 375 degree oven, Â for about 20 minutes. Once it comes out cut it up, sample it to make sure it isn’t poisonous and then VOILA. Enjoy. Â Serve with your favorite pasta dish. Or any dish that deserves some delicious cheesy garlic bread. I won’t even judge you if this IS your meal. My hubs needed more than just bread so we had pesto chicken stuffed shells. Yum yum!

We just had garlic bread tonight with hamburger helper. Of course, it was boxed and it was good. However, when someone boasts of a great recipe, I perk up. We always like garlic bread with some type of pasta dish. I’m keeping this one in mind. Just cruising back thru from http://makeitorfixit.com to check out what’s going on.
