These creamy Turkey Ranch Tortilla Roll Ups are super easy, you can make them quickly, are packed with bold and tasty flavors, and just all around super delicious! They are the perfect appetizer for a party, but also great for a lunch box for school or work and make a great alternative to sandwich for busy weekdays when you want something a little more exciting to look forward to for lunch.
Some might call me a ranch snob, but I just say that I know what I like, and I don’t have any spare calories sitting around for ranch that isn’t delicious! I absolutely love ranch, but any old ranch won’t do, so if I am going to make something with the delicious potential of creamy cheese, crisp veggies, fresh turkey breast, and soft tortillas, I want my bold ranch flavor to be like really amazing, not just ehhh.
So in an effort to make our lunchtimes which had admittedly gotten a little too boring with one to many PB&J’s lately I decided I needed to get a little more creative in the kitchen and fix up something good. Now with that said, good to me and good to my kids is often different, so I had to start with some things that are always good in their book like tortillas and ranch (although they aren’t quite as discriminating as me ha!) Then I added some veggies, because hey I’m sneaky like that and disguise them any way I can and topped it all off with some shaved turkey breast to make the perfect bite sized snack.
These are super simple but really flavorful and delicious. I love to whip up tortilla roll ups for an appetizer for a brunch, shower, even a tailgate since they are individually sized and not very messy to eat. The way we use this recipe most though is for a quick and easy lunch that is anything but boring.
This summer has been pretty crazy. With the kids out of school, camps, lessons, errands with everyone in tow and friends constantly in and out the door, we sometimes get in a rush and fall in the rut of making quick sandwiches and running. I absolutely love tortilla roll ups because they have the portability of a sandwich and are easy to eat but can be packed full of all sorts of flavors to keep meals new and exciting, but still simple to make.
Turkey Ranch Tortilla Roll Up Recipe
All you need for this recipe is seven simple ingredients. If you don’t love my veggie choices, you can sub in almost anything that you do like in it’s place and still have it come out really well! Also, feel free to use light cream cheese in favor of regular if you are keeping things on the lighter side, but fat free doesn’t work nearly as well since it doesn’t soften as well.
Turkey Ranch Tortilla Roll Up Ingredients:
- 4 12″ soft tortillas
- 1 8 oz package Philidelphia Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 tbsp Hidden Valley Ranch Powder mix
- 1/4 cup sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped sweet bell pepper (yellow, orange, or red)
- 2 Tbsp finely chopped red onion
- 1/4 pound very thinly sliced turkey breast deli meat
Turkey Ranch Tortilla Roll Up Instructions:
To make these, first mix the softened cream cheese with the ranch powder, cheddar cheese, bell pepper and onion until well combined. To soften the cream cheese, I try to remember to take it out of the refrigerator a couple of hours before I need it, but life happens, so if you forget, just pop it in a bowl and microwave it a bit until it is nice and soft all the way through.
TIP: If you are gluten free, use my Homemade Whole3o Ranch Mix recipe instead!
Once it is all mixed well, spread about 2 Tbsp of this mixture evenly on each tortilla (this works well when you are using a 12″ tortilla,) then lay 3-4 slices of turkey breast flat on top of the cheese mixture to cover in a single layer. I use my fingers to gently press the turkey to make sure everything is packed together well so it won’t fall apart when it is cut into pinwheels.
Now, roll the tortilla up gently, yet tightly to make sure it holds together and keeps its shape. Once you roll the tortilla up, I like to roll it around a couple of times to help it get the perfectly round shape, then use a serrated knife to gently slice the roll up into 5-6 slices. It is important to use a serrated knife because it will cut much more cleanly through the roll up, where as a regular knife will smash it.
You can eat these immediately, or refrigerate to firm up and serve later. If you refrigerate them, the flavors will come together a little bit more, but you have to be careful not to smush them together or they will become flat on the edges, which doesn’t effect the taste, but does make them not quite as pretty.
This recipe will make about 24 slices, which is 4 tortillas, cut up into 6 pieces each and the ends discarded.
If you make this recipe, I would love to hear about it in the comments! Nothing makes my day more than when someone enjoys a recipe, and I read each and every one of them!
And as I mentioned. This is a great go to lunch idea for us as you see in the 2 WEEKS of No Sandwich Lunch Box Ideas post here!

I made these for a church function. The only problem was the amounts of everything we’re a little off. I used more of most all the ingredients. A block more of softend cream cheese, a bit more cheddar, a little more of yellow pepper and the turkey I used 3/4 of a pound of smoked turkey breast. That was all to get 5 full roll ups. I did put them in the fridge and sliced them the next day. They looked awesome and tasted WONDERFUL!!

If you are having trouble finding the powder I’m sure you can find a recipe for the seasoning blend that is used in the ranch mix. One I found was at https://easyfamilyrecipes.com/homemade-ranch-seasoning/ You might have trouble finding powdered buttermilk, but I guess you could just add a little bit of buttermilk to the final product if it’s too thin, or just use the other seasonings listed, as I’ve seen other recipes for ranch that were dairy free, you would just be missing the tang of the buttermilk.
