Avocado Mango Salsa is delicious recipe that will detour you from the norm and make your taste buds dance! Serve it with chips or on top of one of my favorite recipes… Grilled Margarita Chicken!
Some things in life were just meant to be together! There is no denying that avocado and mango belong together as soon as you take one taste of this salsa that is a welcome departure from the norm! It is a little sweet, a little tangy, creamy from the avocado but has just a bit of crunch provided by the peppers. It is almost like a symphony playing in your mouth.
I always make this salsa to top one of my favorite recipes, Grilled Margarita Chicken. It is the perfect compliment to this dish and not only does it look beautiful on the plate, your friends, family, guests, or whoever is around will be begging you for the recipe. I always make extra though, because it is every bit as delicious scooped up with a salty tortilla chip as it is on top of the chicken and I get pretty sad if I don’t get to eat it at least a couple of times with some chips.
The recipe is simple, but can be a little time consuming since it is a bit labor intensive on the chopping. If you have a volunteer to help with the chopping it can be done pretty quickly though.
To make the salsa, chop the mango, avocado, red onion, red bell pepper, orange bell pepper, and cilantro and place in a medium bowl. Stir gently to mix and then add the lime juice and vegetable oil and stir to evenly coat the mixture. Chill for one hour and serve on top of the Margarita Chicken or as an appetizer or side with chips or veggies.

Avocado Mango Salsa
- 1 Mango peeled and diced
- 2 Avocados diced
- 1 Red Bell Pepper diced
- 1 Orange Bell Pepper diced
- 1/4 Red Onion finely diced
- 1/4 Cup Cilantro diced (about 1/4 bunch)
- 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 Lime juiced
- Dice and add mango, avocado, red bell pepper, orange bell pepper, red onion, and cilantro.
- Stir to combine and then add the vegetable oil and lime juice.
- Mix well to evenly distribute.
- Chill for 1 hour or until you are ready to serve.
- Serve with tortilla chips or on top of grilled margarita chicken.
